These winder treads are cut as radiating wedges and laid out as a sweeping turn. The tapered pieces form the curve of the stair while keeping a deliberate progression in the stone’s gray-black bands.
Winders need careful control of the narrow ends, the walking-line dimensions and how each tread meets its riser. Dry fitting in the factory lets us check fit and vein direction; final sizes, slip resistance and structural support come from the stair designer.
