Using the same stone on the floor and the wall behind the tub turns a bathroom into one continuous surface. The black veining moves through mostly white stone and stands out against the warm timber cabinetry.
Large-format panels keep joints to a minimum and make the pattern easier to read. For a floor-and-wall design like this, agree the slab selection, the direction of the veins, the panel sizes and the joint layout before cutting.
Bathrooms need more than good looks. Substrate preparation, waterproofing, white setting materials suited to marble, sealing and a slip-resistant floor finish (honed rather than polished) belong in the specification.
Master bathrooms, hotel suites, spa bathrooms, tub feature walls and vanity surrounds.

Black veins mirrored down the center of a dark, minimalist corridor, so the floor itself leads you to the end of the hall.
